Maybe there are those not aware that this museum (in the old Customs Houses opposite Sun Hall hotel in Larnaka) re-opened last October.

Totally revamped and redesigned, the museum is open from 9am until 2.30pm Monday to Friday.

Entry is free.

School and Group visits for guided tours are welcomed.

As are donations of photographs/certificates/paperwork/memorabilia.

Archives and storage of additional exhibits are held and available to researchers.

On May 18th, International Museums Day, the museum will be open all day - into the evening - with extra events Smile

The museum is small, but the layout is quite attractive, and the labelling simple but clear. Old photographs on display are interesting. And it's free. The ladies at what was the 'Reception' desk are now from a different Department in the Municipality - having needed temporary relocation - and are actually dealing with registrations for Civil Marriages in Larnaka, so nothing to do with the museum. Don't expect them to be able to answer questions about the exhibits etc! Smile
