hi, my husband and i are looking to move to cyprus in either late 2016 or early 2017.
ok so some of you may think its a little early to be thinking of shipping our stuff but really we are just forward planning..

does anyone know of any decent reliable shipping companies for both furniture and boxes? storage may not be need but if you know any companies that do this at a cheap and reliable rate would great to know just incase. we live in south wales (uk) at the moment. any information anyone has on any of the above would be gratly recieved....

we would like to be able to sort our finances out well in advance.

thank you all very much indeed look forward to hearing from you all Smile

If you try the search button loads come up, personally I would use Andrews Shipping from North london, but being in Wales it may not be a cheap option.

As you have plenty of time to plan - you might want to do a bit of research and maybe have a rethink just how much of your own furniture and larger items you want to bring with you. I know many who brought it all and regretted having done so afterwards.

A member of my family shipped everything at great expense and most of it was still boxed up and stored years after they moved over. They ended up selling most of it for a song. Got a lot less for it than it cost to ship it over in a container.

I brought very little with me - just 8 cartons of personal stuff and clothing etc. even after living for just the 8 weeks while waiting for it to arrive I realised I could have done quite happily without even that much.

I'd been told electrical and computer goods were much more expensive here but it proved not to be the case.
