my father passed away today, and although nobody here Knew him, i want to thank technology .i have been trying to get him IT educated for years, as well as the rest of the family, but yesterday, with the help of my nephew, i persuaded my brother to get on skype. that simple operation allowed me to see and speak to my father for the very last time. that is something i will cherish, please, to all, dont let age be a barrier to IT.
RIP Dad, and thank you for giving me life and independence XX
Sincere condolences Geofj, and totally agree with Spurs. Those we love stay with us forever - in our memories, thoughts and deeds. My beloved Mum died 2 years ago, and not a day goes by, without recalling something she said or did. I find myself often wondering what she would think, or say, about things that have happened since she died. I'm not particularly religious, but often feel that she is watching over me, and mine.
Lots of wonderful memories, to keep me smiling. How lovely that you were able to see and speak to your Dad. Really hope that you find comfort in your memories too.
