Hi

Does anyone know of a chiropractor in the Frenaros area? Have done a search but no hits. I shall need one when we move over as my back tends to give me a problem once or twice a year, and when it goes I can't move until I've been jumped on 2 or 3 times.

Hi Tony

Try a Bowen therapist - better than a chiropractor and more long-term relief.

Hi Tracy

Thanks for the info. I've had a look at some of the web sites for this therapy and unfortunately I don't think it will be much good to me. I have physical damage to the discs and vertibrae in my lower back (something I've had since the age of 18 when I had a m/c accident) and when it 'goes out' the discs actually move out of alignment, hence the 'being jumped on' to force them back into place. It only takes the simplest thing to displace them, tying a shoe lace, opening a pedal bin and last time it was taking off my trousers (hopfully in Cyprus I won't be wearing trousers much, more like shorts). Upto 5 years ago I had been playing tennis 3 or 4 times a week for about 35 years with only the occasional problem, but as we were due to go to Australia on holiday in the November, I didn't want to take a chance of setting my back off again so stopped playing in the July. Unfortuately I haven't picked up a bat since and now I'm a bit unfit to start again.

Hi Tony

I beg to differ. I don't want to waffle on too much but your disc problem will have direct influence from your back muscles. These muscles tighten when there is pain and this in turn can help prevent healing within the body. The Bowen directly treats the muscles groups.

You would be very surprised with the results. I have been treating sufferers of all sorts of conditions for about 6 years now and am always amazed by its potential.

I would give it a shot before your flight and you might be pleasantly surprised.

Just a thought.

Tracy

Hi Tony,
i agree with Tracy, I too have a back problem I actually have two lower discs missing in my spine (something I was born without) and although I havent tried the therapy that Tracy is speaking about my specialist has given me exercises to strengthen my back muscles to help me keep my spine in line. So she has got a point, worth looking into. I live in Frenaros so Ill ask about for you to get someone to jump on you! (im mean a doctor of course Laughing )

Hi,

After about 25 years of lower back problems, many injections, therapy and the rest, a friend introduced me to a spiritual healer, I know what your thinking, but I have had no pain since my visit about 3 years ago. The best 20 I have ever spent, maybe worth a try.
I was told that he would not cure me but he would take the pain away and he did. Smile
I still get a bit of a twinge now & then but it soon passes.
