I have been trying to find recent postings about the Pirate boat trip but can't find the thread. I want to book for this week but need info on tel.no, times of sailing, suitability for children under 10, value for money, entertainment value. Has anyone been on this trip recently and can give me any feedback please? I found a website link on one post but it didn't work.

Suitable for very advanced five year olds and over. Not suitable for younger than five in my opinion.

Food was excellent drinks a bit pricey but not too bad.

I think we sailed at 11am and got back around 3am. Two swimming stops with everyone climbing over everyone else to get into the water.l Not suitable for under two's, very difficult getting in and out of the water with a baby and everyone else ignoring the fact you have a child in your arms.

Not a bad day out but would personally have preferred a simple boat trip with a barbie as on the Ag Triada boat, which is a lot cheaper.

Thanks for the reply. Children are 7 and 9 and both good swimmers so think it will be fine for them. Whereabouts do you go to get on the boat bearing in mind we don't know Ayia Napa very well?

From Kiti probably the easiest way is straight onto the A3 eastbound, keep going until you see the Ayia Napa water park on your right, drive on for approx. 1.75km and there is a big turn off for Ayia Napa / Nissi Avenue. Straight up the ramp and bear right over the motorway, keep going until you come to a set of traffic lights and turn left, you are now on Nissi Avenue. Keep going through the town until you come to traffic lights on a T junction (you have no option but to turn left or right). Turn right and about 3-400m you come to another roundabout, take the 2nd turning (which is on the right hand side) and after 150m or so turn left and you are now entering the harbour car park. If you then walk to the left following the sea wall the harbour is immediately in front of you and the Black Pearl moors next to the slipway.

We went on the Black Pearl two weeks ago which was our second time on the boat. My 7 year old dressed up as a priate and loved it. The children drew a skull and crossbones, they learn a priate dance, they take the priate oath, go on a treasure hunt. They can also have their face painted and a painted on tattoo.

The staff are all dressed up and in character we all enjoyed the trip and will go on it again next year.
