Hi, my friend has a grandchild that they would like to bring out to Cyprus, son is going through a divorce and cannot cope with child Embarassed They want to know if it is possible for the child to go to a state school if he was living with them, they are both Cypriot residents.

they would have to go to the relevant government agency's to legalize them having responsibilty of the child first, and then there shouldn't be a problem with the school

I know it's happened before, the Grandparents were made legal custodians in the UK before they came to Cyprus. As spurs said, it's probably a legal prerequisite.
