Those poor relatives. Another year gone by and still no justice.

So sad to see the pictures of the families and the children killed by the apparent incompetence of the owners/directors of Helios.

I pray they get justice and mourn with them their losses.

Very sad!! Crying or Very sad

We actually returned to Cyprus on the same day from Stansted on Cyprus Airways, and we didn't know anything about it until just reaching Stansted, Ann's sister and Hubby had heard earlier but kept it hush hush.

Our thoughts are with all those families who lost lioved ones.
We have a very close relative who was on the London-Larnaka leg of that flight, who landed safely and said (afterwards) that there had been no problems/issues with the journey.
We regard ourselves as incredibly fortunate despite the fact we lost a number of friends on the onward flight.
As to 'responsibility' for the accident, well I believe there were multiple violations and errors and that no single individual/entity was entirely to blame.
Air travel is, statistically, a pretty safe means of transportation - but we've had so many 'close calls' to date and travel so frequently/extensively that we just have to wonder.............
