That sounds like a great idea having a welcome BBQ! Once the date for completion is set hopefully we can all get over there around the same time to meet each other. In the meantime keep the info & any photos coming! Very Happy

Annie,

You will have to post some of your photos on here for Liam and Jacqui. And I fully agree we all need to keep in touch about the development and the barbi is a great idea for us all to get to know each other.

Liam and Jacqui,

When are you next over?

At this stage, you should know that I'm a demon with the home made BBQ sauce Laughing
Count me in!

It has been suggested that if enough people are interested, the developer will install a barbie (not the doll, obviously Very Happy ), the only thing is where - it doesn't want to be too near to the pool cos of the mess, but I'm not sure where else is available.

I also went into the 'dark' apartments - they're only a couple of doors down from me. Strangely, in April, they were still unsold! I guess it could be a good deal if you were purely renting. Not sure how much repeat bookings you'd get though!

The site looked great when we were there a few weeks ago and sounds like it's really coming together. Can't wait!

Nothing's been confirmed regarding maintenance costs, but I did hear around 200-300 mentioned, which would seem about right.

Cheers,

Andy

Hi Richard and Julie,

Its nice to know another one of our 'neighbours'. Annie and George were the last ones over in May - not sure if they took any photos of your block. We have bought in block A. Have you asked Giovanni for photos - they have taken some for us. We are over again in September and will be taking more photos then.

Hi Richard and Julie, I will second what Sandra said. Its nice to know there are 2 more people on this forum buying Chromata Lagoon. Sandra has reminded me that I never sent any photographs of my trip last May, so here goes. If they dont come out I apologise now, but if they do, Ill be grateful to Sandra who told me how to send photos!!
Going back to what Andy said, I think it is a very good idea to have a communial barbeque built. I wonder how we go about it? Any ideas?

Annie

Hi Richard, The photographs were taken from our Block B. Unfortunately I dont have any photographs showing Block D. Have you just purchased recently?
Im trying to find out when people are planning to go and complete. I know completion date is set for 30 December, but the cost of flights between Christmas and New Year are practically double the normal cost.

Hi R & J

Annie has uploaded two good photos of your 'corner' (Well done Annie - I said it was easy peasy) The second and fourth are the best ones. Will your balcony overlook the pool? I didn't really take much notice of that part of the complex when we were last over, my photos look very dark over that way.

Hi R & J

Have you been over to see the development yet? And if not, are you planning to go over soon. I haven't been since April and was hoping someone would be going over shortly to give us an update. We are going over in September but would like more info before then if possible. Is anyone else going before September?

Hi Mark

Pleased to know another person on B block. We are going to be living above you on B6!! We have bought it as an investment for the time being and probably renting it out to friends and family.

When was the last time you visited the apartments? We were there in May and they really are looking lovely.

Annie and George

Hi All,

Sorry for the delayed response - been on hol for a couple of weeks!
Pics look great - I don't know whether it has made any difference, but I've been pestering for a regular email of progress pics so maybe this has worked!

Picking up on the BBQ idea, the impression I got was that if enough owners requested it, then the developers would consider building one. As I said before, the only major consideration is where to put it so that it doesn't create a nuisance for anyone with the smoke/smell etc coming into apartments and balconies.

There has also been talk of them supplying a number of parasols, sunbeds etc as they did on Niapolis Lagoon.....

Cheers,

Andy

Hi Andy

Hope you had a good holiday. Where you in Cyprus? Its nice to know we have another new member, Mark who has bought in B block.

There hasnt been much response regarding the bbq but George and I think it would be a wonderful idea - good for meeting and socialising with everyone. Do you think we should all contact Giovani and suggest the idea? Also regarding the sunbeds, parasols etc - if you look at artists's impression on the brochure and on estate agents listings, these are all shown in the drawings. I thought these and all the palm trees and landscaping were going to be included in the package.

I know I keep asking this question to everyone, but when are you all going out to complete. I notice that completion is set for the 30 December, but this falls on a Sunday! As things seem to be moving quite quickly, Im hoping that maybe it may be finished in November.

Hi Annie & George,

We weren't, for once, in Cyprus! We went to the Algarve for a change.

I think that as time goes on more owners will pop up!

You may well be right about the Sunbeds etc being included, but I wouldn't want to rely on the illustrations as a guarantee of it Laughing
I think an email to Giovani would be a good idea, just to let them know that there are a number of owners suggesting it - and see what response they give.

For the completion date, the last I heard was that it was likely that the development would be finished ahead of shcedule, but the actual date was not confirmed. I guess it's going to be a while before they will commit to it, so until then I'm not booking any flights! I have pencilled in to be there around Nov/Dec for a week though.

Andy
