(Images and links updated 6 October 2007)

I'm trying to map our developments on the satellite images used by Google Earth and Google Maps. So far, I have:

It's getting a little overcrowded, so here's a bigger image !

But I need your help! Please could you email me the name and location of your development either as:
- coordinates eg 35.053322,34.008721 as given by Google Earth
or
- a Google maps link like this one for Orphanides

You can get this by zooming in on your development so that it's in the centre of the image and then click on 'Link to this page' and copy the "link in email or IM".

Then click on my email icon below and paste the link into the message.

For those with Google earth, here is the KMZ file

Alternately, here is the Google Maps version

Many thanks, Marion

I have just emailed you the co-ordinates of Mediterranean Sun.

I still haven't had a response from an aerlier post re the whereabouts of Mimosa Villas. I assume no-one knows where it will be. It appears that only Invest In Cyprus are marketing it.

Hi Marion I think I have done this right, fingers crossed!

"Paralimni Sands" lat=35.055245542, lon=33.9969886986

"Paralimni Heights" lat=35.0551219212, lon=33.9976439249

Great idea - you can see our pool at Paralimni Sands and the start of the development at Paralimni Heights (before their pool was installed) which is now up and running

Great response so far, thanks all.

Jane... sorry, I assumed people would know the images are a few years old. Unfortunately, we'll just have to wait our lovely part of the world to be updated. Updates are happening all the time, but the world is a big place.

Note that you may have to force your browser to refresh the page to see the latest image in the first post.

Images and files updated in the original post.

Is your development mapped? Is it in the right place? Please do a quick check by viewing the data on Google Maps

Please send me any updates... zoom in on your development so that it's in the centre of the image and then right click on 'Link to this page' and:
- in Firefox: Copy Link Location
- in Internet Explorer: Copy Shortcut

Then click on my email icon below and paste the link into the message with the name of the development.

Thanks, Marion

In the image, you mean? No, sorry, some development names are hidden as there's no control over their placement.

But click the link to Google Maps and it's there - tick the box next to Edessa and a spot appears. Then hold your mouse left button down and drag it to the centre. Then use the + button to zoom in.

The west has recently had some updated pictures, maybe it'll be our turn soon.

Marion

ps Google Earth is better as you can tilt the view to get a 3D view

Looks great Marion.

Will not recognise Kapparis in a few years when all the developments are completed!

Marion,
Excellent idea to map as many developements as you can.
Ours is at Avgorou....Ayia Marina and I believe the Google Earth details are 35deg 02min 27.30N and 33deg 50min 45.95E...although I stand to be corrected.

Good Luck

Hi Marion,

How is the map coming along? I was trying to find Trinidad Court. Do you know if this is a new development or has been completed for a long time?

Regards

Paul

Hi Paul

I keep playing with it every now and again! Laughing

I've split the developments into areas in Google Maps as 'open collaboration' maps which anyone can edit. I've added Trinidad Court, but it won't let me use the same icon. (Probably because I imported it from Google Earth.) Yes, TC is one of the older developments.

See Kapparis Developments and tell me what you think.

Tell you what... see if you can add Mythical Sands Resort & Spa in the same place as Sporades! If you get on OK, I'll publicise the others so people can add or amend.

Thanks for the reminder!

Marion
