We arrived back in UK last week after spending 2 weeks in the heatwave, picking tiles, opening a bank account etc. House will be ready in December.
We are across the road from the fruit market, just up the road from the supermarket. Does anyone know much about this area, or is there anyone else who has bought on this development?. There are 16 houses and 3 apartment blocks.
We bought an apartment there 3 years ago if its the same development you are quoting-but there are 4 apartment blocks and was built by Andreas Panayi who owns the Melini hotel in Protaras.
We are back out in September for another fortnight's sun and heat- a welcome change from what we're getting over here at the moment.
Which is your house?
Incidentally Jan I forgot to mention that I posted this development as Ayia Triada Village (post number 1 in this section) as this is what we understood it was going to be called but there is a lot of confusion between this development and the big development near the Kapparis roundabout-particularly when you are tring to get stuff delivered!!
Yes it is the same development, it's nice to find someone else who is there. We are number 21, and have just returned back, the house is looking really good and should be ready December.
We are still a bit unsure as to whether to sell up here and take a chance or just use it for holidays.
How did you find the Developer? the family seem really nice. We are across the raod from Sylvana.Let us know what you think of it ( good and bad)!!
Can honestly say that we haven't had any problems at all with Andreas-nothing has been too much trouble for him.The girls (his three daughters) have really become friends and we always go and have a meal at his hotel and a drink with him when we arrive.
Only thing I would say is that he is a bit slow doing things sometimes-our pool was supposed to be finished last year but still wasn't when we were there in May, although they were working on it, so fingers crossed! No point in getting worked up about it as this seems to be the way of life in Cyprus.
Did you notice at all when you were there how it was progressing?
It seems to be coming on well, it is gated so we could not see too much, but it looks a decent size, and I believe there is going to be a play area too.We have also found Andreas and his family very friendly. Is the development far from the sea, and shops etc ?. We did mean to park up and have a walk around this last visit, but it was so hot, and our 10 year old moans about walking anywhere at the best of times.
It takes about 20 minutes to walk into town where there are a few restaurants and shops. There are also a couple of nice restaurants within walking distance going down Protaras Avenue but what we do sometimes is catch the bus down to either Pernera or Protaras in the evening then have our meal and get a taxi back.
As for walking to the beach its posssible but we haven't done it as we've always had a car and our favourite beach is about 15 minutes drive away-Konnos Beach-plus the fact its too hot to walk too far!
