Wasn't sure where to post this but I'm sure Steve will move it if I am in the wrong section.
Having just recovered from Breast Cancer and treated very quickly through the NHS it meant we had to put our plans for moving over to Cyprus on hold - what I wondered was do routine mammograms take place over there or do you have to go and ask the doctor for one ?? - are drugs like tamoxifen readily available ?? Most importantly what is the treatment like over there if you were to get another lump (God forbid) detected at some time in the future ??
As we are not pensionable age (yet) it obviously affects us for private Health Insurance as well.
We will be over there in a weeks time does anyone have any suggestions as to who we could talk to whilst we are out there to get some up to date advice and suggestions ??
I am not being morbid we just need to know all of the facts before we decide finally on moving.
Have any other forum members got any advice to offer or had any personal experiences of going through surgery and then treatment over there ??
Please feel free to email me off forum if you would rather not discuss your personal experiences for everyone to see.
