About 10 days ago I reversed and scraped a stationary taxi in Ayia Napa. The driver was very calm about it asked for my phone number and took my car reg. It left almost no mark on my car and he said he would tell his boss and someone would call me. I actually thought bit of T cut and would be done with. Tonight while in Napa with friends I made a point of seeing him to say I hadn't heard from his boss. He told he he was very busy and had been meaning to text me to tell me it had cost 70 euro to repair and such a small amount he decided just to get it sorted and bill me . I don't have a problem I hit his car and not a huge amount of money but wonder if should have handled the situation differently at the time. Any advice for future reference would be welcomed.
It seems a very amicable way to have dealt with it considering the amount of damage, money wise. But if either driver was going to make an insurance claim, then the vehicles should not be moved and the insurance assessor called.
But this time I think you were right in your actions
