We had a credit of more than 200 euros as we now are 'swallows' rather than residents in Cyprus. We've been paying 25 euros monthly instalments for a few years so decided to ask for at least some of the credit to be refunded. The customer Services employee said she couldn't provide a refund, which we had done some time ago without a problem.
A bit of a communication problem led me to believe that this was an outright refusal to give a refund. However the helpful security person said I needed to wait for another person to call me in to an office. This did eventually mean that a cash refund for the whole credit could be arranged, but only after the regular monthly payment had been cancelled!
Not what would happen in the UK!
We now are paying 2 monthly via direct debit as the very small bills arrive. Just thought it might be useful to know how to get a refund if you are first told that it's not possible!
