I'm not starting yet.

I want to live longer.

I don't like the thought of reading all those books, and then you die. Confused

Are but! If you start reading them now, you might die younger.

You are silly.
Going by your logic, if you wear a fitbit and you walk backwards it would take steps off what you have already done. Rolling Eyes

Thanks for the list Mr T!

It got me thinking at least - when was the last time I read a book??

Couldn't tell you to be honest but we're talking decades - sad I know - but
just don't seem to get the time and the concentration is lacking.

Cheers

Steve

I love reading books, but I have two kinds, those that I want to read and those that I know will put me to sleep.

One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich by Solzhenitsyn is a great but his August 1914 is great for dropping off.

I've been making an effort to work my way through another 100 best list for quite a while. More than a few are on this one actually. I still find myself taking a bit of light relief by reading my prize collection of Calvin and Hobbes cartoon albums though. I've never tired of those. Such a pity he packed it in. Very Happy

Here's an alternative '100 books you must read' - they've taken 8 such lists and found the 100 most cited.

Books from: The Gruniad, D.Telegraph, BBC, Amazon, Harvard's book store, Modern Library, Time, & The Art of Manliness (sic).

Only two books appeared on all 8 lists - The Great Gatsby and Catch 22.

100 Books to Read before You Die: Creating the Ultimate List

BTW, if you don't plan on popping your clogs in the near future, all 500 books on the 8 lists can be seen here (Google documents).
