Strange question, but here we go.

Background.
ICE Developers (Now bankrupt) built the TJ Complex of ten townhouses with a communal pool and three private villas
Photo here

I am chairman of the complex owners committee and have had this email from the owner of the lady in the middle villa.

I live in the middle villa behind you, when we took possession of the house the developer agreed that we could cover the roof in felt, apparently they told us wrong. After my husband passed away, I have decided to put house on market as too big for me and am being told by my agent and the land registry that I need to ask all the town houses for their permission that they have no objection, the roof looks over the ravine. So with your help please as committee chairman I have been asked to ask you if all people could provide house number, whether they have title deeds and if so the relevant number on the paperwork and if not title deeds the contract of sale number and their signature.

I am not very good on P.C as only have one hand working – had operation that went wrong.

I would be very grateful if you could compose a form with all the above info as soon as possible as I have someone interested in the house and cannot proceed until I get the relevant information. I have spoken to the other two villa’s and they have no objections

Hse Number/Address Name Title Deed No: Contract of Sale No if no title deeds: Signature’s – not typed

Kind regards,

I have no problem in helping the lady, but not sure that all the other owners will manage to do so.

Is there another way to get her out of this situation in any way.

Thoughts???

Confused

Cover a tiled roof in felt? apart from looking an eye sore, I can't see how this would work.

Looking at the photo, none of the houses have flat roofs?

Photo taken from our rear terrace overlooking her roof

However, I've just had another email ...

<<Thank you so much for your swift reply, I have just this moment taken a call saying that there is a way round this so please hang fire for the moment.>>
