Hi nigel
I am the husband of an owner on a complex am i allowed to stand for election as a comittee member if hers is the only name on tbe title deeds. Also can i accept proxy votes from other members in their absence to be used at agm if necessary on behalf of another

sure you are. i own apartment jointly with my 2 sons. but only 1 of their names on sales contract & deeds. and i've been on committee for few years. must be lots of owners with only 1 of a couple named on deeds

Hi nigel thank you for your reply i assume that because it does not state that you have to be on the title deeds then i can be nominated, only the acting chairman has stated otherwise so i will take the 1993 agreement to the agm next week and ask him to show me where it states that a comittee member has to be on the title deeds, once again thank you
