My father needs to have regular INR tests, he's been to the hospital once to have this done but hasn't had any results!?!?!? Back in the UK his "yellow card" came back in the post literally overnight giving his new wararin dosage - if he has to wait too long clearly the situation will probablyhave changed. Can anyone advise of the normal procedure at the hospital please.

I've seen another thread about going to a private clinic but it said they didn't give the new dosage - oour docs in the UK know we've left so i don't think there would be any hope of phoning them for help (they weren't much help when we were there!!)

I think i will take him back there today but any info i can gather beforehand would be a great help.

Ok I have to have my INR tested every 2 weeks, then I ring my doctor, tell him the result and then he decides if my warfarin needs to be increased or decreased.
I get my testing done at a blood clinic in Larnaca, pay 12 euros and after 1 hour ring them for results.
Maybe if your dad saw a relevant doctor in the hospital for his condition he could then maybe have a same sort of system going on that I do ?
Also im now waiting results of other blood tests taken in hospital but know that they wont send me the results, I will have to go and collect them on my next hospital appointment which is tomorrow.
