Looks like a lesson for us all Shocked

Wonder - does anyone know if we took out Medical Insurance back here in Uk - now - before we plan to move - we get any older and more aches and pains appear Rolling Eyes - would we be able to then use it when we get over to Cyprus ?

Has anyone done this ? just wondered that now Cyprus in EU would this work

What company do you use in cyprus - might even think about doing it out there when we go in May - then at least we know we have cover for the future Smile

There are SO many contributory factors to the question "Do I need private medical insurance?"
I am 59 my wife is 62 and in receipt of a state pension from UK.We do not pay medical insurance because,as a pensioner my wife is entitled to the same hospital care a Cypriot would receive, and, because I am her husband I am included in the bigger picture. It means we have to queue with the rest to see the doctor but it only costs 1.20 Cy. per visit and I get ALL my diabetic medication free.

Cheers,
Campbell.
