I can highly reccomend the 1900 Art Restaurant on Stasinou Street, Larnaca. It serves traditional Cypriot dishes including vegetarian dishes.
The menu is limited, but the quality of the food is excellent and at reasonable prices. It can be found close to the Cyprus Tourist Office.

We were recommended to this by a friend (in UK) of the owner a few years ago but never made it until this year (2007).
Found the ambience in the downstairs bar great - if you like jazz - and the "olde world" architecture made it feel intimate.
Had the dish of the day which was great and although it looked a bit small when it arrived it was actually very filling and allowed for a sweet!
Would recommend it - but not too highly in case I can't get a table next time I go!

Agree with the other comments. We have eaten there a few times. The food has always been good and the staff were really friendly and helpful too. Very Happy Zam
