Cool i was just interested to find out how the council knew you had a dog/s?
did you inform them?
not sure if this is correct and somebody will put me right if im wrong but i thought i read somewhere that you are only allowed to keep one dog - unless of course they are "hunting" dogs.....then its not a problem.
but then of course this is cyprus Very Happy

My dog licences are up for renewal next month and I believe I paid 12.00 each last year. Got them from local council office in Kiti but not sure where you would need to go in Oroklini. I had to give details so it was obvious they weren't hunting dogs (toy poodle and yorkshire terier!) I have heard though that you're not allowed 3 dogs in a residential area.

That is the price for ordinary dogs 12, before it was 15 for male and 25 for female dogs. Surprisingly the cost went down. Not that most Cypriots bother with getting dog licenses especially outside cities.

The three or four dangerous breeds that are allowed in Cyprus such as American pit bulls, have licenses costing 250 per year.

Hi Nemesis,

Did you get this letter recently? I also live in Oroklini and have a dog and have received nothing about a license?

Thanks

Sue

Hi Sue, if you haven't received a letter, relax, and 'let sleeping dogs lie' as they say. I have heard nothing about it in Pernera, and don't really want to. Regards, Jim.

In the Larnaca municipality they completely lost the records of my dog they were looking but they never found them. If only I had known before going for the renewal.
