Hi All,

Everything is almost in place, still crossing everything I can, to start to sort out getting our dog over. Just want to know which airline is the best for him and any experiences you and your pets may have had. Thanks.

Buddy

Hi Sue, I flew my Retriever with Cyprus Airways and she arrived safe and sound. Dont ask me how much it was because I expect the cost has gone up since then. Depends on whether you are doing all the work or handing it over to a company that specialises in flying pets around the world.
Whichever you choose, I do hope you and your pet arrive safe and sound for your new life here, look forward to meeting you when you do get here.
Take care.........Maggie Larnaca
P.S. I shall be in Southend for Christmas, well Rayleigh actually, but near enough.

We used BA but that was 4 years ago. we used Animal Airlines to sort it out for us. 1600 for 2 German Shepherds. Wouldn't do it again though, too much stress on the dogs. one of them had chewed through the nylon handles & smashed her dish, either too much turbulence or I suspect someone had been teasing her. Sorry I'm not trying to put you off, that is just my experience but then I am always very overprotective of them ( a big soft ***.

I regularly collect dogs from the airport who have flown in an up to date they have all been fine. They are generally subdued but hop out of the box happily have a wee and biscuit and they are fine

BA, Cyprus airways and Thomson all fly pets direct to Paphos from LHR, Gatwick and Manchester and they are all experience in live animal cargo. You will be amazed at the numbers that fly on and off the island daily

A good point for information is peter at BA here are his details

Thanks everyone. I'm just really nervous for him. Will contact them all.

Maggie,
I will be in Southend for Christmas as well. Give me a ring on my mobile if you have time for a coffee in town. If you haven't got it let me know and I'll email it to you.
