Currently our ehic cards are issued by the UK. Anyone know if Cyprus will issue them whilst our current ones are still valid?

I thought EHIC cards were only used if you had a temporary stay in another country.
Cyprus do issue them but you have to be resident.

Are you residents of Cyprus? if yes, then why do you have EHIC cards from the UK?

Yes resident. The NHS pays for health care here, and till now issued ehic cards which we have and they are still current. Gesy advice says get ehic cards from citizens service centre, which, until Brexit means we would have 2

Britain will not be entitled to them if they leave with no deal

That is not my question. I asked if Cyprus would issue them whilst our current ones are still valid

If you are of Pensionable age then the UK issues EHIC to British expats.

Sorry that is now. No one knows what will happen in a no deal walk out . The UK will no longer be a member of the EU , how then can they hand out European cards after 20 .20 ?
Only if you have your registration papers and live here.
All Gesy members will be supplied with a Gesy medical card

That is the big question, before eu there was a reciprocal agreement with Cyprus whereby the UK paid for healthcare and therefore issued ehic cards. With no deal I assume that agreement would have to be renegotiated.
Meantime I think I'll just apply for an ehic card, if it's issued will hopefully be covered for eu travel

The reciprocal agreement covered accident and emergency only.
