We would need any special permission to reside in Cyprus?

Any Brexit consequences?

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

As you know, nobody knows what will be happening in the near future regarding the UK leaving but the Cyprus government has said that British residents can remain in Cyprus. In response the British Commission in Nicosia posted this FaceBook message on 12/07/2019:
Quote:
We welcome the House Plenary’s unanimous approval of the government’s bill which guarantees that even in a no-deal Brexit, UK Nationals legally residing in #Cyprus before #Brexit will retain their citizens’ rights here!
We’d like to thank the Cypriot government and MPs for reciprocating the UK’s commitment to EU nationals in the UK. All UK nationals are kindly reminded to ensure you have applied for residency in Cyprus before Brexit! #UKnationalsIinCyprus

(My emphasis)

So (if you haven't already) get down to Larnaca Immigration and start the process - you cab find the information/application form at the Migration Services website. You'll need to make an appointment.

I can't advise on where to live, etc. all I can suggest is that you get around and find somewhere you like, and go back a few times at different hours of day (and night!).

Use the search button near the top of every page to get more info. and if you're unsure of anything don't be afraid to ask again.

Finally, if you are thinking of buying a home, read through the 'Ask Nigel A Question' section of the forum, and take a look at his Cyprus Property News

I hope you'll all enjoy your new life here.
