When Constantinos Ioannou was appointed Minister of Health I posted my opinion that he is an accountant with no medical qualifications. Another poster pointed out that medical knowledge was not necessary for this position. He/she was right and I was wrong. To introduce and implement Gesy in such a short time is a magnificent achievement. Of course there are glitches, but they get fixed in time. Compared with the outpatient system of waiting up to 2 hours to register, another hour wait for the doc, then another half hour at the pharmacy, the Gesy system is wonderful. But I guess this will mean more patients are happy to pop round to their local doc more often. Some people will abuse the system.

That's why there is a limit on the amount of times you can visit the Dr

Lol I popped in ( or tried to ) to my doc yesterday just to ask a question . When I say tried I mean , I tried to push the door open and could not . The waiting room was like a London tube on rush hour lol.
Having said that , I think it will have teething problems but if it is allowed to run , it should be excellent for all and wish it every success.
