Can anyone advise how /where we are supposed to pay our contribution as
pensioners.I understand payments are due from 1st March!!
Is it obligatory even if we do not use the state system?

Bob, I got this from the FCO in London on 2nd April. Dont know if it helps.

"It has been confirmed that if you complete a tax return in Cyprus, you will have to pay healthcare contributions as set out by the Cypriot authorities. The contributions apply to everyone who pays there tax in Cyprus, including UK nationals.

Regarding the continued validity of the S1 form, the Cypriot government have made a positive announcement. People with S1 certificates will be able to access the same healthcare cover as they currently enjoy for an interim period of several months. At the end of the interim period (the precise length will need be confirmed soon) UK and Cyprus will seek a longer-term bilateral agreement to secure reciprocal healthcare cover for Britons in Cyprus and Cypriots in the UK”.

Thanks to both of you. Called at hospital EU office today who more or less confirmed above replies but told me registration for S1 holders will be announced next week.they are expecting existing
Sting scheme to continue.
As yet they have no details about EHIC but expect to continue
E unchanged until Brexit details known.
