I was thinking about the overtaking aspects - but that seems to have been covered (end of article). Perhaps we will see a lot more Volvos on the roads here then? Very Happy

Car are getting more and more "safety" features, but the basic fact remains........ The vast majority of of drivers have not had enough training to give them the skills to safely cope with modern driving conditions.

As for pedestrian and cyclist recognition, the driver should already be looking out for that.

I suppose that all this technology will enable drivers to spend more time looking at their phones in the happy knowledge that the car will tell them when to actually look at the bl....y road.
