My hp printer has just broken after 15 years, I now need to look for a new one, any idea which one I should go for, I don’t print a lot but would like a reliable printer, would need to use it with my iPad.
Any advice would be appreciated

I´d look for a laser-printer to avoid the risk of the cartridges drying out (might happen if you use it only rarely).

I'd agree with jeba - you can get a monochrome laser printer for about 70 euros.
Toner cartridges are dearer than those for inkjet printers but last much longer and the price of most printing (per page) with laser printers is less.

Electroline has a good choice, including reasonably priced laser printers.
