Does anyone know if it is possible to legally transfer our title deeds to our daughter and if so has anyone done this and knows what this entails ? We presume that we will need a lawyer for this ? Any help or suggestions welcomed - Thanks.

Hi summer-blossom

Yes, you can transfer the property to your daughter by gifting or selling it to her. Assuming that you gift it, no transfer fees are payable.

You'll need a lawyer to draw up an agreement.

There's information in the questions at http://www.easterncyprus.com/viewtopic.php?t=99120 that should help.

Regards,

We transferred a title deed from my wife's father to my wife without any lawyer.
We used an agent to do the 'leg work' and we supplied all the papers she asked for .. This was in the Paphos area, but I would imagine that there are similar 'agents' at that end of the island..

Trev..

When my husband was terminally ill, we used a Notary in Larnaca. She was brilliant, wish I could remember her name for you.
