Hi folks
Looking for advice please.
I recently purchased a Nissan Note car for use whilst we visit Cyprus.
When we leave for a few months,is it better to disconnect the battery or leave it on. What would be the implications of doing either?
Many thanks
Redrobin

i always disconnect the + lead and its always ok for starting car when i return until last visit after 4 years away... just replaced battery after 10 years.
if i was sure i was only going to be away a few months would probably leave it connected.

it should be the earth cable that is disconnected first and reconnected last.

or use a solar charger.

Better to keep the battery connected, because modern cars need supply for electrics, best get a little solar charger while your away, this link is very helpful.

Hi folks
Disconnected the battery while we were away and reconnected on returning.
Started up instantly, the only thing needed was to reset the clock on the dash.
I would just like to thank those who commented and gave advice.
