Just come back from a cruise around the caribbean on P&O Azura and could not believe how the standards are dropping. It is 2 years since our last caribbean cruise and the difference in standards was remarkable. I have done 20 cruises mostly with P&O because we like the dress code on the ships, this cruise there was no enforcement of the dress code, people were smoking in no-smoking areas and when approached, the staff were not bothered. On the last sailaway from Grenada there was a fight, something I have never witnessed on any other cruise, the offenders were finally placed under cabin arrest and 2 guards were posted outside their rooom 24/7, they were ejected from the ship as soon as we arrived in Barbados on the Friday, even though they may not have been due to disembark until the Saturday, even when being escorted off the ship they did not go quietly. Apart from that we had a great time, and it was great to usher new year in on the top deck whilst in the caribbean sea. As cruising becomes ever more popular I hope that the "wrong" type of passenger is not encouraged Very Happy

I can understand why P&O staff are disillusioned Brexiteers - P&O are going to shift the registration of its UK vessels to Cyprus ahead of Brexit. Sad

Laughing 😂😂

Don't be silly, who else would do the cooking, ironing, cleaning, washing, washing up, decorating, tiling, changing the bed, put my socks and shoes on for me.

She doesn't realise how lucky she is.

She learns more skills everyday, thanks to me.

It`s funny who you can meet when cruising, on our first night we were sat next to a couple who my wife got talking to, they were from her hometown and knew loads of the same people, they had also moved from the UK and lived in Lanzarote.

Yeah, that's right. Last Thursday we met Glen and Shaz from Moods Restaurant.
We were only in there on the Wednesday before we flew out on the Thursday the week before.

Hi Nigel,
It is only P and O Ferries that are changing registration to Cyprus.
Their cruise ships are registered in Bermuda, with the exception of Britannia, which is registered in the UK. The other ships are registered in Bermuda so that weddings can be conducted on board, which is not possible with a British registered ship.
There does not appear to be any plans to register Britannia in Cyprus.

Have just booked another cruise, this time with Virgin voyages (giving P&O a miss from now on) Like the look of the concept of virgin plus the different itineraries. Booked for the Havana by dark voyage but it is not until June 2020 Shocked And they are children free ships which will be a bonus Very Happy Next cruise is a dedicated vegan cruise for new year departing from Budapest Smile
