Enlarged prostate does seem to mean that you go to the loo more often and you spend longer in there. Laughing

You will be alright Steve.

Yes. I went through a few years getting regular bouts of prostatitis. I must have kept GSK shares up with the number of 28 day courses of Cipro tablets I took. Then, one day - just like that - it stopped. Confused

Maybe you just need to get old faster Steve. Very Happy

I just got a test done and with a PSA reading of 2 am relieved to know that it isn't prostate cancer that has me meeting so many new friends in loos.

Err, that didn't quite come out the way I meant. Embarassed

Thanks guys - just peed off (pardon the pun) with the timing but hey ho
what can you do! There are people dealing with worse so can't complain..
well maybe a little Wink

Cheers

Here comes the rub:

I went to the general hospital this morning, the receptionist said that I needed a referral from a GP to see the urologist.

The GP looked at my blood tests and agreed to refer me.
The first available appointment is 15/4/2019...

The GP then said he would send me for a scan, so it was already done before I saw the Urologist.
I went to X-ray to book the scan, the first available appointment is 28/1/2019...

So I went to see urologist on Monday, he said I need a follow up appointment after a CT scan (other problems too), went to reception to book urology appointment 15th December!!!
The appointment with the Vascular surgeon is 20th May...

How does NHS in UK and state hospitals in Cyprus compare for waiting times ,level of treatment etc , not necessarily for prostate cancer but male URO problems .
