With what we know now, what way would you vote in the event of another referendum.

Unfortunately Kevin, I am no longer entitled to vote in the UK - I've been out of the country for too long.

Although the HMG promised "a bill to make provision extending the basis on which British citizens outside the UK qualify to participate in parliamentary elections; and for connected purposes", HMG reneged on their word and it's reading has been delayed until next year (just to make damn sure we can't vote in any referenda, etc.)

I was eligible to vote in the referendum due to a short return to the UK some years ago, but didn't think I had the moral right to interfere in the politics of a country I had chosen to leave.

Surprisingly high the number of votes to leave.

I expected it to be a lot lower on the forum and possibly or probably higher if the question was asked in UK.

Well, if you remember the leave vote was higher than the remain vote when the poll was taken on the forum a couple of years ago.

I am sure Steve or someone could tell us.

Thanks Nigel.

So it was 75% to 25% in favour of leaving.

And if you read the first post by Byker (how prophetic)

I think it will, but I'm certain many (if not most) of those voting to do so will not understand the full implications of their vote.

Maybe I am reading it wrong? but I take that result as 75% to 25 % people thought we would stay in the EU Smile

Oops,! Just testing.

I think there was a another vote about Brexit on the forum about Leave or Remain. But the vote was still leave, but closer.

Perhaps Steve can find the original one.

It's Nigel's fault for putting the wrong vote. lol

Iv'e just done a bubble. Confused Laughing

There is a major difference between this poll and the previous "Brexit" or not? poll. Here people are asked how they would vote now, the previous poll asked what we thought the result would be, so not really a fair comparison.
