Good turnout this morning at the High Commission's Outreach BREXIT meeting. High Commissioner, his Vice Consul and 2 members of the High Commission,+ a representative from Cyprus Ministry of Interior & Civil Registry & Migration Department attended. The HC talked about BREXIT in general, what had been agreed, what the Government were aiming for in their negotiations and that they were very confident that there would not be a No Deal scenario.
The floor was then opened for questions. Perhaps not surprisingly issues that concerned most of the audience - residency, healthcare, pension payments, taxation, are still not negotiated and EU will not discuss contingency plans for these at the moment.
The advice from the Migration Department was that we should ensure that we have or have applied for the correct residency documents.
