entrepreneur or funeral home owner has made a move in this area. As the
representative of licensed funeral home owners Solon Melas told Phileleftheros,
the standards that crematories need to adhere to require a budget of more
than 4 million.

For example, crematoria must have space for a funeral service involving at least
50 people, the cremation chamber must be... [

You can't be cremated in Cyprus, but local funeral directors will (and do) accompany bodies from Cyprus to Bulgaria for cremation and bring the ashes back to Cyprus for interment

I would have thought that you could have a body sent to whichever country you want for cremation..
The ashes could then be scattered or interred wherever you want

You can, but they use Bulgaria as it is the cheapest.

So, it's reckoned that crematoria would need space to accommodate 50 people for the service. What nonsense! If there wasn't enough room inside then surely people could just stand outside. And how often would 50 people want to go to a service? I attend church services here which are very well attended but....members of the congregation stand outside to hear mass if there is no room inside, they or the priest don't demand that the church must be large enough to accommodate xxxxx numbers, where do you stop with that?

Of course you can but cost comes into the equation and many could not afford to do this. Its time the government got their act together on this
