EU summertime directive, launched July 4 in an attempt to evaluate whether
or not the rules should be changed.

The deadline for submitting comments is August 16.

Are we still in the EU? Ha this been mentioned in UK press?

I presume we'll go with the majority or then again we could demand a second referendum?

You must all be losing it in the sun. Afaik people living in the UK with an interest in Cyprus, an interest that gives them more right to dfiscuss certain topics than some of the airheads, have not been banned from posting.

As my location shows a UK address only a half wit, with apologies to Steve I'm talking about the others, would make such childish comments. Steve's humour I can accept your insults disguised as banter I won't.

EU gets record response on 'summertime' consultation

More than 4.6 million responses have been received in a public consultation by the EU Commission on whether to review legislation on daylight-saving time, possibly opening the way for scrapping the longer summer daylight hours.

The number of responses is a record for any EU public consultation process.

I was told daylight saving was a 1916 wartime move, why is it needed now?, I have at least six or more (not counting the cars) electronic clocks, I never wear a watch, if it was started during the 1940's why are we still doing this?not needed so a no from me. Very Happy
