Not even half time and two decisions made a farce of the use of video and classic bad refereeing. France got a goal from a free kick that was soft if not false and then the penalty that should never have been. Worse than many Premier league decisions.

Hand moves away from the body towards the ball. Anyone who doesn't think that's handball is kidding themselves.

Agree with you on the first one, still think he put his hand out to stop the ball for the penalty

Agree, two bad decisions dive for free kick leading to the first French goal, and ridiculous decision for the handball/penalty.

Sensible Bob are you a qualified referee?
The commentators are certainly not so you cannot believe a word they say.

As Blossom says if the hand moves towards the ball is is handball any day of the week.

On ITV

Mark Clattenburg: "Hands are in a natural position. No movement towards ball. No penalty."

Maradonna scored with the hand of God so maybe this was the hand of someone else as opposed to the ball being deflected and hitting the defender? Try jumping and not bringing your hands down.
Get real its my opinion not influenced by commentators.
And yes Bob beer I have been a referee but could not face the abuse from parents of young players so reverted to playing old fashioned honest football where PLAYERs admitted to fouling and handling and did not cheat. That includes so-called professional fouls and pretending to be tripped...diving was only recognised in swimming pools.

Overall I wanted to express a simple opinion that a wonderful world cup had been ruined by two dubious decisions. Suppose the other two goals by France mean they may have won anyway but Croatia deserved a different result.
