He's British born in Tooting - not that it has anything to do with a balloon.

Cheers

Hope the protestors are proud, it cost the British taxpayer £5m in security and policing, what did it achieve?

Thought it was embarrassing myself, he is a world leader invited over, where were these protestors when the likes of Mugabi were invited?

Like it or not, Brexit is happening, a Brexit with a good USA trade deal is better than one without and on a final note, are the parents going to be fined for taking all the kids out of school for the day?

Good morning Pete...

I donít like Trump, I donít like Clinton, Iím amazed the USA allowed it to become a two horse race between these two.

I donít like racism, I donít like bullies, Trump was voted in by the American public we should respect that, I tend to stay away from political and religious debate as it rarely remains civilised so Iíve probably said all Iím going to say on the matter if Iím being honest.

Regards
Richard

Conditions our prisoners of war were subjected to by the Japanese
Yet when Hirohito came over to my knowledge only Mountbatten demonstrated and as goody two shoes said them girls in scarves

The money for security would have been paid out even if there's been no protests.

BTW, the British government paid 5 million towards Scotland's bill for Trump's (private) golfing week-end.

Where did I read that a blimp of Sadiq Khan due to fly over London was not granted a licence because it was deemed offensive?

Figure has risen to between £8-£10m and the largest portion of costs on policing the protests

As I said yesterday (and provided a link for you to ignore) you won't read about protests in the Mickey Mouse 'newspapers' you read.

Quote:
Emperor Akihito was greeted with hostility from former British prisoners of war, who symbolically turned their backs on him, while others jeered, as he and the Queen passed by on The Mall in a horse-drawn carriage during a royal procession. Addressing the state banquet, the emperor spoke of his "deep sorrow and pain" over the suffering inflicted by his country during the Second World War, but he stopped short of apologising for the treatment of prisoners in work camps. A small group of PoWs also held a candlelit vigil outside the Japanese embassy to remember those who died. The emperor was also met with protests at Westminster Abbey and in Cardiff.

Thatís perfectly acceptable. The likes of Assad, Mugabe, Putin, Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, Emperor Akihito, Nicolae Ceausescu and Xi Jinping got the full Monty State visit. With little in the way of adverse publicity or protest. Their security costs were probably a fraction of Trumpís but of course that manís in a murdering-butcher league of his own. Who does he think he is? The elected leader of our most important ally?

Welcome to the topsy-turvy world of the Liberal hypocrite.

They showed him!

I don't think you read that anywhere.

The balloon was originally refused a license because the Greater London Authority said it wasn't a 'political protest' but they reversed that deision after complaints from the public about stifling free speech.

"We can insult anybody we want, but nobody else can" seems the attitude of the unpolitically-correct mob.
