Kwaka first I’m not going to get involved in a big argument but you need to find the history behind that. Liverpool were caught for the 2nd time this time with United shall we be polite & say not being honest. Arsenal after the war were Voted into the top Lge this was normal then.
Re Emery read my post it refers to clubs before PSG!

More important Rambo looks like staying. Chambers is one for the future but will have to up his game with Emery, he’s no Arsene!
Jack has gone & sadly the nicest Gooner I’ve ever met Santi. His injury very nearly cost him his foot, hope he fares well. Jack is a difficult one, yup I’m glad for him & us, that he’s free to go. He has a genetic fault with his feet, watch how his foot lands. West Ham would be a great place for him.
Next few days there should be a few announcements & Musafi & Sanchez (remember him) leaving. Lots going on gooners.

Quote:
It has been alleged that Norris bribed or in some way unduly influenced the voting members of the Football League, in particular the league chairman and owner of Liverpool, John McKenna; at the League's AGM. McKenna made a speech recommending Arsenal's promotion ahead of Spurs thanks to the former's longer spell in the League (Arsenal joined in 1893, Spurs in 1908), although Wolves - who finished in 4th ahead of Arsenal and Preston North End who finished fifth - had been members of the league since its inception in 1888. Although no firm proof has ever been offered, Norris's other activities, including the scandal that led to his downfall, are often cited as circumstantial evidence.

Emphasis is my addition.

ALLEGED, NO FIRM PROOF HAS BEEN OFFERED. Themonies Norris took out of the Club was no where near the amount he put in. Today Kronke takes 20mill each year.
Norris saved the club & carried the debt well thru the 30’s. This is part of the reason the club is self financing ever since.
It was the ‘activities’ of Liverpool that over 2 seasons caused the original problems, the second season involved Man U.
Without casting dispersions on any poster or club. No one has ever questioned how a club finishing 8th in the southern Lge managed to get ‘voted’ into the league. Did they bribe? The matter is it was a question of voting, much like Brexit we won they lost & they’ve been asking for a remote ever since. Another question is why Spurs failed to gain support from other clubs.
Research the history of Spurs Chelsea & us & you may reach a broader answer. As a by line to that the only club to constantly support Spurs requests to join the Lge was Arsenal. Spurs offered to purchase shares in Arsenal, Rangers actually did, they offered us a ground share just prior to Norris buying us.
I’ve offered more than once the other side of the story & wont comment again.
The friction is tween ‘supporters’ not the clubs

Lucas Torreira - looks a steal at £25m... if he signs. Should all become clear in the next few days. Good to see us doing our business early instead of the usual last minute panic buys.

See what can happen when the control is no longer in the hands of just one man! Onwards and upwards...

Evening all you gunners
I have been looking on Arseblog and they think Ramsey is on the move
I don’t think he would be hard to replace I’ve never rated him
We are supposed to be looking at a player from Portugal who plays for
Barcelona
Keep smiling

Well he ain’t signed yet. I think he’s hopping RM or Barca will come in. Well he’s good but not that good. Barca had a look at him last year, but no offer. He’s capable of scoring & a real box to box player best in their half. Emery could well improve him. For me sign before the start or sell, fed up with players leading us on. We are already looking at players to replace him.

Thought you might like these pete as a man that knows his London geography the map is from when St Norris the saviour of the mighty Arsenal ‘Kings of London’, brought us over. It shows the London boundary of that time. It’s interest lies in the towns that were NOT part of London.
The other is a copy of Jimmy (Arsenal were always a bigger club than Spurs) Greaves of his signing. Read the address you clearly see that spurs were still NOT a London club & were infact a Middlesex club all those years.
Oh the brackets are Jimmy’s actual words.
Naughty but nice🤣🤣🤣
