It's called the Zeal Bar and Tea Room (Google it) and it's in Oroklini. I was there last night after phoning to get directions. It is at the end of a narrow road that goes uphill past the OLD church with the dry-stone wall. Zeal is really a cocktail bar. Ample parking for TWO cars . But last night they had a good singer and a guitarist. Cocktail bars are not my thing, but to find a very modern, quite big one hidden away at the edge of the old village in Oroklini was a huge surprise.

No, scottie, the Mandra is in a great location but unfortunately the owners lost interest years ago and it is still closed
Back in the day .........late 60's early 70's it was the place to be.
The last time I was in there was just after the Lebanese war when many Lebanese evacuated to Cyprus. This particular evening an obviously wealthy Lebanese group came in. They had actually brought there own food to be cooked ( you could do that in many places at that time) and within an hour the whole feel of the place changed . Their music the smells of their food being cooked . It was such a pity , the make money today and to hell with tomorrow attitude had taken over. We and many others did not return. Funny how the mention of a place brings the memories rushing back 😢
Parking for several cars on empty plot of land just around the corner from Zeal. Just follow the road around the corner and it's to your right (just before you reach the lovely little shrine under the hill)
