Yes!! I could, we only have a cheap ordinary phone anyway.

But Cypriots could never do without them. They would have to sell their cars. Wink Laughing

No problem. I paid €89 for mine 4½ years ago and really I use it only as a hands-free Bluetooth-linked phone in the car. I'd guess 90% of its use is to phone home asking wifey to put the kettle on as I'll be home in about 5 minutes. Most of the time, it is switched off. The number is top secret.

I managed without one a lot longer than I've had one.

Most of the calls I get on my steam driven Nokia (it’s just a phone!) are from Mrs T. Helping me to find out where I’ve left it. Sad

I don't have a 'smart' phone and don't want one. Like Mr T, my old nokia is fine for my needs.
When I go online, it's indoors, on my laptop.

In the '50s the telephone was in a red box, over the road. Then we had the marvel of a house-telephone - which my father guarded like the crown jewels.
Then in the '80s-'90s the revolution of the mobile phone. Like the nokia I still use, lol.

But my grandchildren have grown up with the smart-phone - they know nothing else.

I attended the Philips offices in Hilversum Holland where the house brick first mobile phone was launched. The then elderly chairman of Philips just shook his head and asked the audience, "whom in their right mind will walk along the street talking on a phone, or in the train or tram. It will never take off."

I still have an old Nokia phone that does me fine.

I couldn't go without mine now as, whilst I am out and about in the community, it's the only contact I have with my office and vice versa.

Apart from work I don't use it a great deal.

Got to admit, although I could live without it, I now use my mobile for all calls.
Living in the UK 7 to 8 months of the year, I find it far cheaper than the landline at 1p per minute (or per text) - for normal numbers of course. The same when I am in Cyprus applies as I am "roaming".
I also tend to use it a fair bit for internet, etc.

Cool

The title says it all. Better than my last camera so one up. Twitter where people make idiots of themselve, better than seeing a stand up comic

O yes it acts as a phone as well

No Wink Had to find the singer sewing machine repair centre in Larnaca, without the GPS on my phone I would have been knackered and would never have found it. When they first came out I never bothered with one, but now I would not be without it, I have ditched my MP4 player, my digital SLR, my video camera to name just a few things.

I am not dependant on my phone, but it is a very useful tool.............

It is my SatNav, Camera, Diary, Calendar, Notebook, Calculator, Compass, Weather service etc etc.

And of course as a dual sim phone it keeps me in touch "ALL" over the Island

Or I could press button B Sad
