do people bother with travel insurance when going back to the uk? only going for 1 week. dont need the hotel cancellation bit as we dont pay till arrival.
thinking if 1 of us did get sick or have accident could go to walk in centre. already registered with 2 in area we are going. just give name & they get up your details. imagine they would have no way of knowing we had moved

You should have told them and sent back your medical card ☺

told GP and dont remember ever having a medical card. at walk in centres not registered as such so no reason to tell them. they just ask name & DOB when go there & if been previously have you on computer

Everyone had a medical card and the instructions as to what to do if you leave the country are on the back of it .

We never had medical cards! Informed our doctors we were moving to Cyprus and they said thanks for telling them and that our records would stay with them for a couple of years and then sent to be archived in the national storage facilities in Wrexham.

Apologies , as they were still bring issued until 2015 I ( wrongly ) assumed everyone o here would have one 😊

Just got back from a cruise and once again used Staysure, there was no question about prebooked accomodation, also it is an annual one which we will be using again for 2 more cruises, so we could not have answered that question even if it had been there.
