Everyone is welcome you do not have to attend Church to come along.
Reason for the early notification of this trip is that places need to be booked.
Delighted to announce we already have 14 people wishing to book (as at 3Feb). I will be asking those people who have shown an interest to let me know if they want to book by 18 Feb
To summarize the trip (so far):
Depart Tuesday 17 April to travel to the lanes of Laneia . A gentle wander around this lovely village of churches, wine press and art studios with a break at the coffee shop. Travel on towards Platres with a visit to Melomeri waterfall about 2 Km down a track which can be driven or walked comfortably. Up to Kakopetria where we stay overnight at Ekali hotel. They have agreed a special price of 50 Euros bed and breakfast per double room. Central to the village with walks around the old heritage area, shops and cafes within 50 metres. We will discuss evening meal arrangements as a group or individuals can choose their own place. Rev Fr. Martin has agreed to do a group get together to bless the trip and enhance fellowship at some point in the afternoon/evening.
After breakfast on Wednesday the group can decide where they want to go. There is opportunity to do another walk and waterfall, to explore the only Railway station in Cyprus, Troodos Square or even travel back via another village such as Omodos maybe calling at a winery (Or two!).
This is a trip suitable for all not just the walkers and some may want to join in or just relax in this wonderful mountain village. All I ask is people let me know by 18Feb if they want to book.
Please contact Bob Hiner., tel 96679196 for more information or to book.
