Unfortunately regardless of whether it's on the forum or elsewhere they
(those in charge) will take notice of what they want to take notice of.
If they did take notice then the pavement would have been completed
long ago. Many have tried...

Not sure what the Karas group has to do with it as they aren't responsible
for the inaction on the roads/pavements.

There have been quite a few sales in Kapparis over the last two years -
more so in 2017 and definately people buying.

Cheers

Steve

But were they sales of shells that need completing or resales?

Didnt need to wake up thanks. Not as familiar with area as lots on here as only moved here 15 months ago. and only go out in kapparis out of season when protaras shuts down. so grateful bars & restaurants stay open or would be a long boring winter. I just dont think its any worse than lots of places. maybe as I drive from Ay Niks 3 evenings a week from daughters swimming club & glad to get into the half light of kapparis after the winding roads with no lights & maniacs over taking me.

But even more i hate the unlit sections of motorway in the dark

Actually like how Kapparis is still commercialized even heard crickets last week. Then i rarely walk anywhere apart from with dogs so no pavements doesnt affect me.

In a word NO this has been like this for 15 years that I know of, I know that there has been at least ten near misses on this road when people have nearly heed knocked down. I have been to the town hall along with lots of other people to complain but all you get is the developers who build the apartments should build the paths and put the lighting in well I donít think so as everyone knows it is down to the council as they put the new road in, itís a disgrace as we all know it is because it not a holiday maker area so it dose not make hem money.

I concur, been many times to the Town Hall, even spoke to the Mayor.

Last time it was maybe in two years.

The Municipality say the area below the dangerous T junction is not their area, they say it belongs to Famagusta.

We get a birds eye view of the idiots overtaking as they go over the humps.
At least 20% of the drivers are on the mobile phone. I think it because they are called speed humps their logic means they have to speed to go over them.
Like wise because they are called Mobile phones they feel they have to be mobile to use them.

Well we will see it is just a matter of time before sone one gets hurt on this road, no one wants to take responsibility for it that is typical of the town hall. I love cyprus but they need to start looking after everyone in the area.

Both from what I can tell - more resales and although the shell ones have
taken some time they do appear now to be moving. As with anything it
does depend on the location and the ones closer to the "font line" will
get sorted first.

So getting back to the OP - Kennedy Avenue - what changes would you like
to see?? Mentioned already lighting, better parking....

What business, which you think would be sustainable, do you think the
area needs?

Cheers

When we first moved here 24 years ago , we rented an apartment on Kennedy Avenue.. The assumption was amongst the residents that as we were seen as an extension of Kennedy Avenue in Famagusta it would become the " main drag " after a settlement was reached.
As we are only too well aware , settlement was/has not been reached , interest waned .
I was under the impression that the official name was no longer " Kennedy Avenue " but Kapparis. Am I wrong ?

I agree that pavements are needed and using waste-land for car-parking which is a good idea; otherwise, I just love it as it is.

there, take a look at the MELLO Bar for a start and give investers some thing to invest in.

Where the Twilight bar is next to Shipianis (sp?) supermarket there is a
blue road sign that says I think Kappari Avenue. It is confusing as on
Google maps the whole road is described as both Kennedy Avenue and
Leoforos Kappari.

The sign I mentioned is just a small street sign and you might not be
imagining the one you saw.
