Just purchased some Cal Hypo granules from Andy at Panoramic Pools, got to say it is the best decision I have made, never liked using Dichlor and since the change the pool has never looked better.

Absolutely and no longer worried about cyanuric acid, now that's a bonus eh?

Just an update as to how the pool has performed all summer and now in the winter. Absolutely brilliant readings during the summer months and just keeping an eye on the readings now and they are perfect. No problems whatsoever.

Fingers crossed for a good summer

Do you not find it gets 'burnt' up quickly in the summer? Also find it prone to clouding.

Not at all, I know some of the cheaper brands can cause problems but the Cal Hypo I get from Panoramic pools has been brilliant. Been doing my own pool for 6 years now and this product has been the best I have used. It doesn`t deplete quickly even in the height of summer. I have used Dichlor and even 4% bleach using the TFPC method and this way has been the easiest and most effective for me.

It can be a little cloudy and once in a while we put a chlorine tablet in Sid (swan) just to build it up as needed.

Would never go back to chlorine only as fed up with the cyanuric acid level going into the red!
