Hi everyone
I was wondering if anyone can help us, our apartment insurance is due soon and we have had a quote for 181 euro and another 15 euro with accidental cover. I don't know if this is a good price or not we have a two bedroom apartment.
Dave

Have you tried Abbeygate Insurane and Gan Direct Dave? We found both to give a fair quote.

Can't say if your quote is good as it would be based on the size of your appartment and the value of the contents. You need to collect a few quotes.
I used UKEXPATS for my car insurance and they were cheaper than all the others that I contacted. About to get a quote for our house and contents as it is due. Ring Michelle on:

Some people rent out their apartments for most of the year so it's very important to have public liability and renters insurance. Also, lots of people value their apartments far too highly. Foe example if you were to lose the apartment in a fire you still have the site i'd imagine so that value doesn't exist, same with a house. Value it sensibly and if renting make sure to do what I said.

Are you asking about building insurance, content insurance or both? Your Management Committee should have building insurance for all commonly-owned areas and external walls etc. including earthquake damage. You're responsible for insuring everything related to the internal structure/plumbing/electrics etc. of an apartment.

Hi Dave

I suggest you download the paper

- and take particular note of what it says on page 4.

You have to use the same insurance company as the Management Committee uses when it insures the commonly-owned areas.

Regards,
