The Parish of Ammochostos came into being at Easter 2017. There are 3 churches in the Parish each with its own unique identity who work together in unity. St Marks which is a student chaplaincy located on the university campus in Famagusta. Christ Church in Ayia Napa hosted in the lovely modern Scandinavian Church located behind the Orange Grove Restaurant on Nissi Avenue. And St John the Evangelist hosted in the beautiful orthodox church of St Fanourios located next to Deryneia Cemetary.
Rev Martin Phillips- Last ( tel 99376551 ) is the priest in charge of the Parish and all three churches. Martin is assisted in the ministry of the parish by three Readers, Justin, Kevin and Peter. The Parish itself comes under The Anglican Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf.
There are weekly Sunday services of Communion and / or The Word at all three Churches and all are welcome to come along and join in.
ie every Sunday.
9.30 am St John the Evangelist, Deryneia.
11 am Christ Church, Ayia Napa.
11 am St Marks, Famagusta
There are also regular social activities and special events that take place in individual churches and as joint ventures. All are welcome to attend these also ( you do not have to be Church attendees to join in these activities). Information regarding these will be posted regularly.
The Parish would like to thank Steve for his support in setting this Forum sponsorship up.
