Since being in contact with "HolidayLettings", virtually every web page I now visit has several, often six adverts for HolidayLettings by TripAdvisor. They sometimes cover a third of the page. Is there anything I can do? Evil or Very Mad

Many thanks Trev. I am using Google Chrome. But when the padlock image comes up and I click on the start symbol I just get "dong!, dong!"
What do I need to do?

Sorry I can't really help Pat as I am on Firefox.. But the ding ding sounds as though it is being flagged up as threat of virus. And I am 99% sure that it is OK

If you are on Windows 10 this search may give you other choices.

It might be a good idea to download and run the *FREE* version of Malwarebytes, just in case you have picked up something nasty.

I ended up with a page grabber problem after downloading a small freeware program a few weeks ago. I ran the aforementioned Malwarebytes which identified and isolated the offending items. No trouble since.

In these ads, in the top right hand corner of the ad you should see the usual 'X to kill'.
Clicking there will give you the option to stop seeing that particular ad.
