Some advice please. I have my 'Yellow Slip' which I understand is 'for life'. A friend has mentioned that I should be applying for a Permanent Residency Certificate now that I have lived here permanently for 10 years.
I wonder if I should indeed be applying for this? What, if any, would be the real advantages? I have never been employed here, and have received a UK OAP pension for the past 8 years.
It is my intention to remain in Cyprus permanently, although I appreciate that during the course and outcome of BREXIT, this may change.
I read could apply for this residency after 5 years. but like you dont know what the benefits are if any. assume could exempt you from any effects of brexit but as only had yellow slip 4 months too late for us.
Both me & husband never worked here & he has UK state pension
