When you buy something online, you often have to tick the box "I have read and agree to the terms and conditions".
I have just read (in the DT I believe) that "to increase awareness of your commitments" a company offered free WiFi with terms and conditions that obliged them to clean all the public lavatories for two weeks. 2,000 signed up!
Another offer included the "Herod clause" which required them to give up their first-born. 6 people agreed.
But I loved the DT ed remark "But of course we don't know if any of them didn't like their first-born"
I thought that was hilarious
