i have been looking into purchasing this device.
but i am concerned, the law in the uk/eu are jumping on mag boxes and the like ,saying they are illegal if they are uploaded with kodi etc.etc.
so what makes the firestick legal if they also get streams from various means?
There is nothing illegal with any of the devices themselves. What is being clamped down upon is the use of 3rd Party add ons within the Kodi Media Player that permit people to watch copyrighted material for free.
The Amazon Firestick is designed to stream subscription content from its own sources. However it can be "side loaded" to use Kodi in one or other of its versions.
